CULTURE
Among the purposes of this coordination there is the fact of encouraging students, employees and workers, to participate in the fields of arts and culture. This helps to the integral formation of students and it also leads to the possibility of recreation which is a key element for a good living. The goal is to promote arts and culture inside the campus and off-campus. |

This activity implies the strengthening of fields in the socio-cultural integration through the appropriate exchanging with private and public institutions. In the first place, our work has been developed to get the cultural groups inside the campus stronger; these groups are the following: the College Choral Society, the Theatre Group, the Marching Band, the Caribbean Rhythms musical band, and the Contemporary Dance Group, among others.

In the same way, it is encouraged the exchange with other institutions to develop a stronger institutional image of our University and have a presence in other scenarios.
This coordination has attended to extracurricular activities on integral formation such as music festivals, theatre, congresses and seminars. All this experience has led us to join efforts in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, community organisations, among others. In the same way, we have participated as a well-known institution on radio broadcasts to promote the Caribbean Maritime University up to the highest level of recognition.

This implies a planning-hard-task, regarding supervision, implementation and evaluation, which it would be impossible to fulfil successfully without the commitment of a workers staff. It is a task that could be taken into practice as it follows:
